Former Milwaukee Bucks Player Sandro Mamukelashvili Secures New Deal with San Antonio Spurs, Cementing His Value in the NBA

Wojnarowski] Free agent F Sandro Mamukelashvili has agreed on a one-year,  $2.2 million deal to return to the San Antonio Spurs, sources tell ESPN.  George Roussakis and Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports confirmed

Mamukelashvili, a Georgian-American professional basketball player, was drafted in the second round as the 54th overall pick by the Indiana Pacers in the 2021 NBA Draft. He subsequently signed with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he played for two seasons from 2021 to 2023.

During his time with the Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks, Mamukelashvili also spent time with their G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd. In the 2023 NBA G League Next Up Game, he showcased his skills and was named to the Next Up Game roster.

In 2023, the forward transitioned to the San Antonio Spurs, where he currently excels as a center/power forward. Mamukelashvili has demonstrated ongoing growth, highlighting his versatility in scoring, rebounding, and facilitating on the court.

Last season, the former Bucks forward demonstrated his potential by averaging solid production, particularly towards the end of the year with increased playing time. His addition brings the Spurs’ regular season roster to 14 players, just one shy of the maximum allowed.
