After his visit to Kansas, five-star Class of 2025 big man Eric Reibe has made some changes to his recruitment schedule.
One of those changes is likely to disappoint UNC basketball fans…

According to Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog, Eric Reibe has canceled his visits to North Carolina and Kentucky. The five-star big man from Potomac, Maryland, is still expected to visit UCONN this weekend, with Oregon, Indiana, and Creighton remaining in contention.
UNC was among the 11 schools Reibe considered when narrowing his choices, and an official visit was planned for shortly after. However, with these latest changes, it appears that North Carolina is no longer in the running for Reibe.
After missing out on Malachi Moreno, who committed to Kentucky, and now seemingly out of the race for Reibe, UNC could use another big man or stretch four. How Hubert Davis and his staff will adjust remains to be seen, but it’s likely they are already working on alternative plans. Whether they refocus on current targets or extend new offers to other Class of 2025 prospects, UNC’s next move will be worth watching.
Recruiting can be unpredictable, and not every player will choose to be a Tar Heel, which is perfectly okay. Now, it’s a matter of waiting to see who will join the program and contribute to its future success.
