JUST IN: Caitlin Clark’s Boyfriend antagonized by her after shocking news

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has become a global sensation, which has also brought some attention to her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, although on a smaller scale. Many of Clark’s fans have shown interest in McCaffery’s own basketball career, where he is making strides in the coaching world. Currently, the 26-year-old serves as an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers, but reports suggest he is planning to step down from his position. Akeem Glaspie of the Indy Star reported on September 12 that former NBA top draft pick Greg Oden is resigning from his role as an assistant coach for Butler’s men’s basketball team, with McCaffery expected to take over.

If Connor McCaffery joins the Butler Bulldogs coaching staff, it will mark a reunion with his younger brother Patrick, who recently transferred from Iowa to Butler. Their younger brother, Jack, has also committed to Butler and is set to join the team in 2025. This upcoming family reunion has caught the attention of fans on X (formerly Twitter), sparking various reactions.

One user quipped, “The McCafferys were a packaged deal evidently. When’s Fran going there to be HC?” referring to Fran McCaffery, the Iowa Hawkeyes’ head coach and father of the three brothers. Another Iowa fan expressed relief: “Thank God we’re not the team that has three McCafferys on one team again.” Other fans shared their thoughts, with comments like, “A chance to yell at his brothers…” and “McCafferys keep the circle tight.” One person simply noted, “Butler basketball. It’s a family business. This is cool. Connor, Pat, and Jack.”

While Butler has yet to make an official announcement about Greg Oden’s departure or McCaffery’s potential arrival, it seems like only a matter of time before the news is confirmed. Fortunately for Caitlin Clark, McCaffery’s move will allow the couple to avoid a long-distance relationship, as Butler University is just a short drive from the Fever’s home court at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
