GREEN BAY, Wis. — At the heart of Packers football, few things rival the commitment fans show at Lambeau Field.
Even before their victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Packers fans’ confidence remained unshaken, despite being down a quarterback.
TMJ4’s Tahleel Mohieldin spoke with fans about how they felt regarding starting quarterback Jordan Love’s absence due to a knee injury.
“Honestly, the Colts are a really strong team, but I’m not too worried,” said Quinn Rainville. “Malik Willis will handle it, Josh Jacobs will do his thing, and our defense just needs to stay solid.”
“We’re really sad about Jordan Love being out,” Tess Coclasure said. “But everyone I know has faith in Malik Willis, and we’re happy to see him play. We’ll always believe in the Packers.”
“This is the essence of pro football,” added Pat Horn. “The coach has to prepare them for each game, regardless of who’s on the field.”
“I’m sorry Love is hurt,” Horn continued. “He’s got great potential for the future.”
Love is expected to be sidelined for several weeks following his knee injury during the Packers’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Wide receiver Jayden Reed also played through shin and calf injuries on Sunday.
Despite the injuries, Packers fans at Lambeau chose to stay optimistic, focusing on the team as a whole. With their win against the Colts, they feel the season is headed in the right direction.
