Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins had a memorable moment during Week 3 when his beloved Chicago Bears fell to the Indianapolis Colts 21-16. While watching the game at Lucas Oil Stadium, Rollins went viral when the jumbotron caught him in a Colts jersey. In true heel style, he dramatically removed the Colts jersey to reveal a Caleb Williams Bears uniform underneath. Later, former Colts wide receiver TY Hilton playfully tossed Rollins off the wall onto the field, mimicking a Royal Rumble move.
Despite Rollins’ viral moment, the Bears’ game saw some progress from their quarterback Caleb Williams in his third NFL start. Williams threw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns, marking his first multi-touchdown game in the NFL. However, the Bears couldn’t mount a comeback, suffering their second consecutive loss. Williams acknowledged the positives, saying, “We got our first two passing touchdowns of the year, which feels good… We were one small detail away on a lot of these plays and that includes me.”
Pass protection continued to be an issue for Chicago, with Williams forced to make plays under pressure. He finished the game with 33 completions on 52 attempts for 363 yards, but also had two interceptions and a lost fumble. The Colts sacked him multiple times, including a strip-sack that set up a late Colts touchdown to seal the game.
As for Rollins, he seemed to enjoy his time off from WWE. He has been off TV since August after being “injured” in a storyline attack by Big Bronson Reed, which allowed him time to recover from real-life injuries. Given his appearance at the Colts game, fans can be hopeful that Rollins is on the mend and could return to WWE programming soon.
