Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are now one loss away from elimination after a 93-69 defeat to the Connecticut Sun in Game 1 of their playoff series on Sunday. Clark struggled, scoring only 11 points on 4-of-17 shooting, hitting just two of her 13 three-point attempts, and even suffered a black eye during the game.
The Fever must win Game 2 on Wednesday night in Connecticut to stay alive and force a Game 3 in Indianapolis. Following the loss, Clark delivered an encouraging message to her team: “We can win. It’s not about the venue or the hoops. I have complete confidence in this team, and everyone in our locker room feels the same. I know we’ll perform much better on Wednesday.”
"We can win…I have all the confidence in the world in this team."
