DONE DEAL JUST NOW :Gators Commit 5-Star DL to Boost Defense

JuCo defensive lineman Tarvorise Brown has committed to play for the Florida Gators football team for the 2024 season. The 6-foot-8, 290-pound player, who was redshirted at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, has reclassified and enrolled at UF for the upcoming fall. Brown will join the Gators as a preferred walk-on, with the possibility of earning a scholarship next season as circumstances become more flexible, according to Swamp 247.

Brown received his offer during a visit to Gainesville on Saturday. While he initially planned to delay his decision, he ultimately chose to commit after spending significant time in Gainesville and feeling that it was the right fit for him.

“It’s a big step,” Brown told On3’s Keith Niebuhr. “I never imagined I’d be offered by an SEC school. It’s a blessing. Experiencing The Swamp and walking around campus was bigger than I ever thought it would be. It was a great experience.”

Brown expressed how meaningful it was to receive an offer from such a high-profile program, saying, “I never thought I’d be in this position, getting an offer from a team I’ve watched on TV. It’s just a blessing.”

In addition to Florida, Brown also received an offer from Utah State. The Gators are reportedly impressed with his combination of size, on-field talent, and attitude. Originally from Florida, Brown attended Heritage High School in Palm City.
