DONE DEAL: Five-star confirm a massive commits to Notre Dame just now

While the outlook for the Notre Dame football team is generally positive, there is one concerning issue. Although the Fighting Irish still have a commitment from 2025 quarterback Deuce Knight, it has seemed for some time that he might be on the verge of decommitting.

There’s a glimmer of hope since he hasnโ€™t officially committed to Auburn yet, which is surprising given the strong belief that he would choose the SEC school.

Reports indicate that Notre Dame has received a reprieve and may even host Knight for a visit to South Bend in the coming weeks. However, Auburn is intensifying its efforts, with other players actively recruiting Knight, and it appears to be making an impact.

Four-star running back Alvin Henderson, who is currently committed to Auburn after previously committing to Penn State, seems to have developed a bond with Knight. Their recent interactions on social media could be a source of concern for Irish fans.

Notre Dame football should worry more about Deuce Knight

Henderson tweeted at Knight, saying, โ€œletโ€™s do this …โ€ and added, โ€œAuburn family let him know where to come.โ€

While this is a fairly typical peer recruiting message, it was Knightโ€™s response that raises some eyebrows. He quote-tweeted Hendersonโ€™s original post, adding a handshaking emoji.

Itโ€™s possible that Knight was simply showing respect to Henderson for reaching out. However, this situation remains one to monitor closely, especially as the anticipated visit date approaches.
