JUST IN: Alabama Quarter Back challenges team mates and makes unbelievable promise ahead of 2025 NFL Draft

Alabama’s Jalen Milroe entered the 2024 season as one of college football’s top quarterbacks, and through four games, he has fully lived up to that expectation.

Milroe’s standout performance in Alabama’s recent victory over Georgia has caught the attention of many, particularly within NFL circles. He completed 27 of 33 passes for 374 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception, and also rushed 16 times for 117 yards and two touchdowns.

This complete performance has impressed many, including NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper Jr., who believes Milroe may be positioning himself to become the top quarterback in the 2024 draft.

During an appearance on ESPN’s “Get Up,” Kiper shared his thoughts on Milroe’s rising draft stock, saying, “He’s competing for QB1 in this draft, Greeny.” Kiper mentioned other top quarterback prospects like Shedeur Sanders (Colorado), Cam Ward (Miami), Carson Beck, and Quinn Ewers, but believes Milroe belongs in that top tier.

Milroe’s experience at Alabama under Nick Saban, combined with his physical attributes — standing at 6’2″, 225 pounds — and his dual-threat ability make him a top contender. As Kiper pointed out, Milroe has always been a great deep-ball passer, but he’s now improving in short and intermediate accuracy, pre-snap operations, and overall progression.

Kiper concluded by saying that Milroe is firmly in the mix to be QB1 in the draft and could even land as a Top 10 pick, or higher, by April.
