COMMITMENT DONE: Bruins commit a New Netminder considering the stalemate with Goaltender and his new contract just in case

Amid a contract standoff with goaltender Jeremy Swayman, the Boston Bruins have brought in another goalie as a precaution.

This move highlights uncertainty surrounding Swayman’s return, with his absence expected to continue into the 2024-25 season opener.

In preparation, the Bruins have claimed 25-year-old Jiri Patera, who had just signed a two-year, two-way deal with the Vancouver Canucks in June.

With Joonas Korpisalo slated to start on October 8 against the Florida Panthers, the team now has added depth in net with Patera, along with Brandon Bussi and Michael DePietro.
