COMMITMENT: Alabama commits another 4-star Wide Receiver that broke South Jersey record from Millville just now

Bama247 spoke with Millville (NJ) High School head coach Humberto Ayala just before the 2024-25 season kicked off, with the team focused on a state championship run. The Thunderbolts are off to a strong 5-1 start, with two regular season games remaining ahead of what looks like a promising playoff journey.

A key reason for their offensive success, averaging 36 points per game, is Alabama commit Lotzeir Brooks. Ayala has compared Brooks to NFL stars Tyreek Hill and Deebo Samuel, a high bar but justified by Brooks’ impressive stats. Over his first three high school seasons, Brooks racked up 167 receptions for 3,355 yards and 51 touchdowns, with his senior year set to break records. Notably, he tied the state single-season touchdown record (22) during his junior year.

This season, Brooks has already set the New Jersey High School record for career touchdowns (60 and counting) and is 212 yards away from the state record for receiving yards. He was also featured on *SportsCenter’s* Top 10 plays and received custom ‘YOU GOT MOSSED’ gloves from NFL legend Randy Moss for a standout catch last month.

Despite these accolades, Ayala notes that Brooks is solely focused on winning another championship. “He’s a team player,” Ayala said, emphasizing that Brooks wants the ball not for personal glory but because he believes he can help the team win.
