The SEC had postponed selecting a game time earlier this week, awaiting the outcome of this weekend’s matchups. Alabama (5-2) suffered a loss to Tennessee, while Missouri (6-1) mounted a comeback victory against Auburn.
The game will also mark Alabama’s annual homecoming at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The two teams last met at the start of the COVID-delayed 2020 season, and Missouri has only visited Tuscaloosa once before, in 2018. Alabama currently holds a five-game winning streak against Missouri, with the Tigers’ last victory dating back to 1975 in Birmingham.
