The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed wide receiver Chris Godwin on injured reserve following his ankle dislocation in Monday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. He is expected to undergo surgery this week and will miss the remainder of the season.
In response, the Bucs promoted wide receiver Ryan Miller from the practice squad to the active roster and signed punter Trenton Gill to replace Jake Camarda, who was released.
Godwin, who is due to become a free agent in 2025, had seven receptions for 65 yards in the game before his injury and totaled 50 catches for 576 yards and five touchdowns this season.
Miller, an undrafted free agent in 2023, has played two games for the Bucs, while Gill, drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2022, has appeared in three games this season. The Bucs also added punter Jack Browning and wide receiver Dennis Houston to their practice squad.
