JUST IN: Paul Finebaum Reveals why Alabama Will not Make the College Football this time

The Alabama Crimson Tide kicked off the 2024 college football season in impressive fashion, going undefeated through September with a 4-0 record, including a standout victory over the Georgia Bulldogs. However, October has been challenging for Alabama, as they currently sit at 1-2 this month, following losses to the Vanderbilt Commodores and the Tennessee Volunteers, with their only win being a close 27-25 game against South Carolina. This recent downturn has put Alabama’s College Football Playoff hopes in jeopardy. Nevertheless, on the “Paul Finebaum Show,” SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum discussed Alabama’s path to the playoffs, asserting that if they win the rest of their games, their place in the playoff would be secure. “If Alabama wins out, they’re in the playoff,” Finebaum stated, citing that they’d have redeemed the Vanderbilt loss, with the Tennessee defeat not being overly damaging. Finebaum noted Alabama’s substantial win over Georgia and potential wins against top-ranked LSU would solidify their playoff position.

If Alabama wins their remaining games, they would add high-profile victories over No. 21 Missouri and No. 8 LSU to their resume, adding to the Georgia win. However, their recent struggles have left fans doubtful about their ability to run the table.

Alabama’s next big test comes against Missouri at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, broadcast on ABC.
