In the days leading up to the matchup between the No. 21 Missouri Tigers (6-1) and the No. 15 Alabama Crimson Tide (5-2), there were significant concerns about the health of Tigers quarterback Brady Cook.
Cook sustained an ankle injury in Missouri’s win over Auburn the previous week and was even taken to the hospital for an MRI at one point. Despite this, he returned to guide his team to a 21-17 win.
Heading into Saturday’s game, Cook was listed as doubtful and arrived at the stadium wearing a boot. Though he started for the Tigers, it was evident that he wasn’t fully fit, and he eventually left the game due to an upper-body injury. According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Cook is not expected to return.
