JUST IN: Ex-Bruins goaltender drops Shocking message and response about Goalie Fight Challenge

Former Boston Bruins goalie Linus Ullmark found himself at the center of a chaotic end to the Senators’ win. Ottawa led 7-1 against the St. Louis Blues late in the third period on Tuesday night when a brawl erupted near Jordan Binnington’s net.

In response, Binnington grabbed Brady Tkachuk from the skirmish, but officials intervened and separated the two. Binnington then skated to center ice and challenged Ullmark, who declined as the Senators wrapped up an 8-1 victory at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Though Ullmark isn’t known for fighting, Bruins fans may recall the 31-year-old attempting to square off with Matthew Tkachuk during the 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs. Reflecting on his decision not to engage Binnington, Ullmark explained his reasoning.

“No, it’s just all for show, and we were up 7-1 at the time. There’s no need for me to get involved,” Ullmark said, as reported by the Senators. “Binnington was standing up for his team, but I’m sure Brady can handle himself.”

Ullmark emphasized that while he chose not to respond in this instance, he would always defend his teammates. He added that Binnington simply “shrugged his shoulders” and that the situation didn’t warrant further action.

The Bruins are set to face Ullmark for the first time since his trade on Nov. 9.
