Alabama wide receiver and return specialist Cole Adams will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a lower-body injury. Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer, whose team is ranked 11th, announced the news prior to their matchup with No. 14 LSU.
He did not provide specifics about the injury, which Adams sustained early in the game against Missouri just before Alabama’s bye week.
This season, Adams has recorded six receptions totaling 94 yards and has served as the team’s main punt returner. He made his first start at receiver against South Carolina due to injuries to Kendrick Law and Kobe Prentice, catching two passes for 57 yards. Earlier this season, Adams also exited the South Florida game with an injury. “Just seeing the determination he showed in recovering from the first injury, you could really see the kind of person and player he is—his resilience,” DeBoer said. “Unfortunately, he’s now dealing with another injury.”
