The Buffalo Bills are preparing to wrap up their regular season and gear up for a postseason run. This week, they’ll travel to New England to face Drake Maye and the Patriots. Ahead of the matchup, the Bills have added a new quarterback to their roster.
In a press release on Friday, the Bills announced the signing of quarterback Mike White to the active roster while releasing linebacker Nicholas Morrow. The move comes as the team prepares to play its final regular-season game on Sunday in Foxborough, MA.
Head coach Sean McDermott confirmed earlier in the week that starting quarterback Josh Allen will play in Week 18, but his time on the field will be limited. With Buffalo already locked in as the No. 2 seed for the playoffs, Sunday’s game has little at stake except for maintaining Allen’s consecutive start streak, which currently stands at 114 games.
Mike White, a 29-year-old quarterback, has seven career starts in the NFL, all with the New York Jets over two seasons. Last year, he appeared in six games for the Miami Dolphins. Over his three-year career, White has completed 196 passes for 2,219 yards and nine touchdowns. However, he has also thrown 13 interceptions, been sacked 13 times, and fumbled three times.
