The Oregon Ducks are continuing to establish themselves as a dominant force in the college football transfer portal. With several high-profile commitments already secured, they are now in a strong position to add USC offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon to their roster.
Oregon is on track to secure its third consecutive top-ten transfer class, currently ranked No. 8 in the 2025 college football transfer portal rankings by On3, and is expected to rise further. Recently, the Ducks landed two major commitments, strengthening their incoming class. These include the top-ranked running back in the portal, Makhi Hughes, and former Florida State and Alabama wide receiver Malik Benson. Now, they are focusing on Pregnon, a standout offensive lineman from USC.
After a 7-6 season under head coach Lincoln Riley, USC has seen 21 players depart through the portal since its opening in December. Pregnon’s decision to enter the portal, however, surprised many USC fans. He stayed with the team through December and played in the Las Vegas Bowl. On December 18, USC’s offensive line coach Zach Hanson had announced that Pregnon would forgo the 2025 NFL Draft and return for another season with the Trojans, expressing excitement about his progress. “Excited to have him back,” Hanson said. “He made tremendous strides this past year, and we expect him to continue improving, raise his NFL draft stock, and hopefully secure a high draft position next year.”
