sad news: Ryan Day in tears as favorite star set to reunite with family at Bengals

Ohio State RB Set To Visit With Bengals

It was just three calendar years ago that the Cincinnati Bengals made it to the Super Bowl, only to narrowly lose to the Los Angeles Rams.

More trips to the big game were expected for them, but they have now missed the playoffs in both of the last two seasons

They will have to address a number of roster holes in order to become championship contenders again, and that could include the running back position

Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, one of the teams TreVeyon Henderson will visit this week is the Bengals.

“Running back TreVeyon Henderson has multiple pre-draft visits lined up this week, including to the #Bengals, per source,” Fowler wrote.

Henderson is fresh off helping to lead Ohio State University to the College Football Playoff National Championship, and he posted 1,016 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns while averaging 7.1 yards per rush attempt last season.

He ran the 40-yard dash in a strong 4.43 seconds, and while he’s a bit undersized at 5-foot-10, he has the speed and athleticism to become a major force in the NFL.

The 22-year-old ended his time at Ohio State with a total of 3,761 rushing yards and 42 rushing touchdowns, and in his freshman year, he set a Buckeyes record with 19 total touchdowns from scrimmage.

Last season, Cincinnati got some production from running back Chase Brown, who logged 990 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns, plus 360 yards and four touchdowns in the air, but he may not be capable of being their main man in the backfield for years to come.

After going 9-8 in 2024, they will have the No. 17 pick in the NFL draft later this month
