Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From North Carolina Transfer DB DeAndre Boykins

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has gone back into the transfer portal, this time in the ACC with North Carolina transfer defensive back, DeAndre Boykins.

His decision comes after an official visit to Stillwater last week. He originally entered the portal back in January.

Boykins is originally out of Central Cabarrus and Concord, N.C., and checks in at 6-0, 200 pounds.

This past season as a junior, Boykins recorded six total tackles, four of which were solo stops, and a pass break up. That comes off missing the entirety of the 2023 season due to a torn ACL.

But he had a solid season in 2022 where he recorded 67 total tackles, 48 of which were solo stops, eight pass break ups, one interception against Miami and one fumble recovery.

Boykins marks the ninth commitment out of the transfer portal for the Pokes, the fifth on the defensive side of the ball, joining South Carolina edge rusher Wendell Gregory, Colorado edge rusher Taje McCoy, Western Kentucky/Louisville linebacker Darius Thomas and Vanderbilt defensive tackle, De’Marion Thomas, Emory and Henry (DII) receiver Cameron Abshire, Georgia State running back Freddie Brock, Marshall wide receiver Christian Fitzpatrick and Appalachian State offensive tackle, Markell Samuel
