Four-star power forward London Jemison committed to Alabama basketball under coach Nate Oats on Saturday, selecting the Crimson Tide over finalists Louisville and Virginia. Jemison is the second recruit in Alabama’s 2025 class, joining four-star wing Amari Allen, who announced his commitment on September 10th.
Alabama, coming off a Final Four appearance last season, is gaining significant momentum in recruiting. After securing the No. 2 class in 2024, the Crimson Tide is positioning itself for another top-ranked class in 2025.
Jemison, standing at 6’8″ and weighing 200 pounds, is seen as a developing player who will need to bulk up to compete at the Division I level. He is a stretch-four with three-point shooting ability and has shown defensive versatility and potential.
Ranked No. 38 in the 247 Composite Rankings and No. 1 in Connecticut, Jemison stood out at the NBPA Top-100 camp earlier this summer, according to On3’s Jamie Shaw.
His commitment moves Alabama’s recruiting class to No. 6 in the nation, according to 247’s composite rankings, and it comes just a week before a major recruiting weekend featuring an official visit from the No. 1 player in the country, A.J. Dybantsa.
