DONE DEAL NOW: Auburn Tigers Committed another Top-Ranked Offensive Lineman trade Deal for possible successor today

The Auburn Tigers are expected to bolster their highly ranked recruiting class with the addition of an offensive lineman. Despite a recent loss to Arkansas, Auburn’s recruiting efforts remain strong, as On3’s Steve Wiltfong predicts 2025 offensive lineman Nelson McGuire will commit to the Tigers.

McGuire, from Midlothian High School in Texas, recently visited Auburn after receiving an offer and plans to visit other SEC schools like Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, as well as Clemson.

While McGuire has toured several SEC programs, Auburn seems to be emerging as the frontrunner. On3 ranks McGuire as the 14th-best offensive lineman and 232nd overall in the 2025 class. Auburn holds a 56.8% chance of landing him according to the Recruiting Prediction Machine, with Texas Tech being the next closest contender at 38.4%, suggesting there’s still a chance he might stay in-state.

Although many top Texas recruits have committed to in-state schools, it’s not out of the question that McGuire chooses Auburn. In fact, 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions all point to him committing to the Tigers. If he does, McGuire would instantly become Auburn’s top-rated offensive lineman in the 2025 class. Auburn already has two offensive linemen committed: Tai Buster (ranked 68th) and Jacobe Ward (ranked 86th), but McGuire would bring a top-20 ranking to the position.

McGuire would also rank as Auburn’s third-highest offensive recruit behind wide receiver Derick Smith and offensive tackle Tavaris Dice. Currently, the Tigers hold the fourth-best 2025 recruiting class according to 247Sports.
