Caitlin Clark made history during her rookie season as the WNBA’s No. 1 overall pick in 2024. As the Indiana Fever’s All-Star point guard, she broke numerous records and significantly boosted the league’s popularity.

Clark’s remarkable on-court performance earned her the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year award, almost unanimously, with 66 out of 67 votes. She set multiple WNBA rookie records, including 769 points and 122 three-pointers, and also established a new single-season assist record with 337.

In celebration of her Rookie of the Year honor, Nike unveiled a banner at Indiana’s Gainbridge Fieldhouse, asking, “Is there a rookie record for rookie records?” The banner highlighted several of Clark’s achievements, such as: WNBA single-season assist leader (337), single-game assist record (19), rookie season scoring record (769), most points by a point guard in WNBA history, and the most double-doubles by a rookie guard. She also holds the

Fever franchise records for double-doubles and made three-pointers, along with being the fastest WNBA player to hit 100 threes (34 games). Additionally, Clark became the first rookie to record two triple-doubles and earned four WNBA Rookie of the Month awards.

Clark is set to return for her sophomore season in 2025.
