BREAKING: Jeremy Swayman Suddenly reveals Source Of ‘Extra Motivation’ for Boston Bruins just now

Tuesday’s season opener for the Bruins won’t be just another game.

Boston begins the 2024-25 season at Amerant Bank Arena, where the Florida Panthers will unveil their first-ever Stanley Cup championship banner before the puck drops. The ceremony could trigger some tough memories for the Bruins, having been knocked out of the playoffs by the Panthers in the last two seasons.

However, Jeremy Swayman shared a different perspective after Monday’s practice. He believes watching their rivals celebrate could serve as motivation for the Bruins.

“It’s an incredible accomplishment by them,” Swayman said via a team video. “We know we want to do the same thing this year. Seeing it firsthand will definitely push us harder. But I see that every day — I picture that Stanley Cup in our hands, and it keeps me driven.”

Swayman, who just signed a new contract, might also have personal reasons to drive Boston deep into the postseason, as the 25-year-old aims to justify his position among the league’s top-paid goalies.

In short, it doesn’t look like Jim Montgomery’s squad will need much more inspiration as the season gets underway.
