Mission Viejo (Calif.) standout Dijon Lee has made another significant leap in the rankings. Bama247 spoke with 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins to get his insights on the rising five-star prospect set to join Alabama next fall.
The 247Sports Scouting Team released a major update for the 2025 Top247 Player Rankings on Wednesday, with several Alabama commits from the No. 2 ranked recruiting class seeing significant jumps since the last update in July.
Five-star quarterback Keelon Russell soared from No. 10 overall to No. 3, IMG Academy (Fla.) offensive lineman Michael Carroll climbed over 130 spots to No. 13 and is now the top-ranked interior offensive lineman, and five-star cornerback Dijon Lee continued his rise, moving up 16 spots to become the No. 15 player in the nation.
Standing 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, Lee, from Mission Viejo (Calif.), has been on a steady ascent. He was ranked No. 40 overall in May, earned his fifth star by July, and rose to No. 31. At that time, Bama247 spoke with 247Sports’ Director of Scouting, Andrew Ivins, for insight on Lee’s rapid rise.
Ivins commented, “Among our five-stars, we currently have four corners, all tall with strong athletic traits. It’s a unique year in that regard. The abundance of height stands out, and Lee is a favorite of many on our scouting team. We’re excited to see him finish his senior year.”
So far, Lee has delivered on those expectations through the first seven games of the season, with 32 tackles (17 solo), three interceptions (including a pick-six), and four catches for 91 yards—competing against some of the toughest teams in the country. His mid-season highlight reel speaks volumes, and Bama247 caught up with Ivins for further insights following this latest jump in rankings.
