In a short-handed matchup between the Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints, rookie quarterback Bo Nix played a key role. Nix rushed for 75 yards on 10 carries, bringing his season total to 255 yards and three touchdowns on 47 attempts. Although his running ability wasn’t heavily highlighted by scouts, it has caught the attention of his teammates.

Left tackle Garett Bolles, one of the Broncos’ most consistent starters and their longest-tenured player, praised Nix’s mobility. “Bo’s a dual threat,” Bolles said. “He can throw and run. When we give him protection, he makes things happen.”
Nix himself acknowledged that his rushing is an added bonus, stating, “Those hidden yards are important for keeping drives alive and sneaking in extra first downs.”
Tight end Adam Trautman admitted he was unaware of Nix’s running talent when the team drafted him, but now sees him excelling in that area. Head coach Sean Payton also lauded Nix’s mobility, noting that it reduces pressure on the play-calling and allows for a more aggressive approach.
Despite missing key players, including cornerback Pat Surtain II, the Broncos’ formula for success seems repeatable, especially with Nix’s dual-threat abilities continuing to develop.
