Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in Franklin, Tennessee, on Thursday night.
According to TMZ, Cutler was pulled over and later taken into custody for DUI, leading to his booking at the Williamson County Jail.
Cutler, who played 12 seasons in the NFL, is best remembered for his time with the Chicago Bears, but also had stints with the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins.
He began his NFL career with the Broncos in 2006, playing there until 2008, before being traded to the Bears in 2009, where he spent most of his career.
He briefly came out of retirement in 2017 to play for the Dolphins before retiring permanently.
This incident adds a troubling chapter to Cutler’s post-NFL life, and further developments are expected as more information comes to light.
