The Georgia Bulldogs face a challenging game against the Texas Longhorns, and quarterback Carson Beck appears unprepared. While Beck shone for Georgia last season, his performance this year has been inconsistent.
At times, he’s struggled with accuracy, though he’s also displayed moments of excellence as one of college football’s top quarterbacks. However, tonight’s game against Texas hasn’t been his best showing.
Beck began the game with two costly interceptions, though fortunately, they didn’t put Georgia behind. Nonetheless, they stalled the offense’s momentum and shook Beck’s confidence. Social media has not been kind to him either, as fans have voiced their frustrations about his early struggles.
Despite the rough start, Beck remains a talented quarterback at the collegiate level. He has thrown for 1,818 yards, 15 touchdowns, and seven interceptions this season.
Last year, Beck recorded 24 passing touchdowns, and he’s on pace to surpass that mark this season. When he’s in form, Beck can be considered one of the best in college football.
However, accuracy issues have plagued him recently, with a completion percentage of just 59.2% in the games against Kentucky and Alabama. All five of his interceptions this season have occurred in the last three games, including three in the loss to Alabama and two against Mississippi State.
