Green Bay Packers defensive end Arron Mosby recorded his first career sack on a 3rd-and-4 play from the 26-yard line, taking down Lions quarterback Jared Goff. Despite his efforts, the Packers ultimately lost the game 24-14.
Last week in Detroit, Mosby played five defensive snaps and shared a sack with Rashan Gary. He originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers on April 30, 2022.
Mosby, who played college football as an outside linebacker at Fresno State, appeared in 27 games across two seasons. His collegiate highlights include a 95-yard interception return touchdown against San Jose State in 2018—the longest of his career.
During his time at Fresno State, Mosby was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week on August 30, 2021, and earned Honorable Mention All-Mountain West on November 30, 2021. He returned for a fifth season in 2021, transitioning from defensive end to linebacker.
In high school, Mosby led Sanger High to both a Section Division 2 Valley Championship and a County/Metro League Championship, earning two All-League Defensive Back honors.
The Packers claimed Mosby off waivers on August 2, 2023. After appearing in three games with the Panthers last season, he made the Packers’ 53-man roster for the first time in his NFL career, helped by a strong preseason performance that included a forced fumble and interception against the Ravens.
