Josh Allen Re-Signing another blockbuster done deal

The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for one of their biggest games of 2024 as they prepare to host the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. Riding a five-game winning streak, the Bills are hitting their stride on both offense and defense. Yet, discussions about potential roster improvements persist. A familiar name in those conversations is safety Micah Hyde, who spent seven years with the team before they opted not to re-sign him during the offseason. Hyde remains a free agent, prompting reporters to ask quarterback Josh Allen during a recent press conference about the possibility of bringing the All-Pro safety back.

“I’ve touched base with him a little, checked in here and there,” Allen shared. “I love that guy. I’m not sure what you want me to say about it. I don’t really have any strong feelings or opinions on the matter. I think our defense has been playing fantastic football. But if an opportunity came up to bring him back, I think everyone in this locker room would welcome him with open arms.”

During his seven seasons in Buffalo, Hyde earned two second-team All-Pro nods and made one Pro Bowl appearance. The Bills have primarily relied on Taylor Rapp and Damar Hamlin at safety this season, but adding depth to their secondary could prove beneficial.
