Alabama TE commit Marshall Pritchett recounts final catch of HS career for TD

Marshall Pritchett wrapped up his unique high school football journey with a storybook ending. The Alabama commit scored two touchdowns, including one on his final reception of the season, to lead Rabun Gap (Ga.) to a state championship on Friday night. It was a remarkable achievement for someone who “never thought” they would find themselves in this position.

Next for Pritchett is signing his letter of intent to play for the University of Alabama next month, followed by a move to campus in time to join bowl practices. A return to Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl on November 30 is also on the table, marking his third game visit this season (after Georgia and Missouri) and his second since flipping his commitment from North Carolina to Alabama in late October.

Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 220 pounds, Pritchett is eager to kick off his college career. In an interview with Bama247, he shared details about his game-sealing touchdown, his growing relationships in Tuscaloosa, and his thoughts on the utilization of tight ends under Kalen DeBoer.
