Seven-foot center Fridrik Leo Curtis from Iceland, currently attending Cambridge Arts, Technology and Science Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts, has committed to play for Bobby Hurley and the Arizona State Sun Devils, as confirmed to SunDevilSource.com.
Curtis cited his decision as being heavily influenced by the relationships he built with the program and their “modern style,” which allows big men to “do everything—shoot, attack, and play fast,” he told Arizona State’s 247Sports site.
Curtis chose Arizona State over several programs, including Indiana, West Virginia, Alabama, Creighton, Stanford, and UCF. Ranked as the No. 70 overall recruit and the No. 10 center in the 2025 class by On3, Curtis has quickly become a rising star.
Last season, Curtis played for IR Reykjavik in Iceland, averaging 15.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game while shooting an impressive 42.2% from three-point range over 31 games. He also represented Iceland on the international stage with the U20 national team, contributing 5.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game, according to the New England Recruiting Report.

Indiana, one of the schools Curtis considered, currently has one commit in the 2025 class—Trent Sisley, a 6-foot-7 forward from Montverde Academy (FL). The Hoosiers are set to lose several key players to graduation, including Oumar Ballo, Trey Galloway, Luke Goode, Anthony Leal, Langdon Hatton, and Dallas James. However, they are expected to retain players like Malik Reneau, Myles Rice, Kanaan Carlyle, Mackenzie Mgbako, Gabe Cupps, Jakai Newton, and Bryson Tucker.
