JUST IN NOW: WNBA All-Star Coach Reveals the Truth Behind Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese WNBA rookie star which lead to

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese have been the most talked-about players of the 2024 WNBA season. Before the Olympic break, their competition for Rookie of the Year was extremely close, but Clark has since gained a significant advantage with her performances in August. Both players were selected for the WNBA All-Star team and, for the first time, played together to lead Team WNBA to an unexpected victory over Team USA. On a recent episode of “Come And Talk 2 Me,” former NBA guard Mark Jackson interviewed Team WNBA coach Cheryl Miller, who shared her experience coaching Clark and Reese together. Miller mentioned that their presence on the court disproved any preconceived notions, emphasizing that there was no hostility between them. She highlighted that their shared focus on winning and their enjoyable interactions off the court made the experience a lot of fun.

Clark and Reese’s rivalry began when they faced off in the 2023 National Championship, with Reese’s LSU Tigers prevailing over Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes. However, Clark has had the upper hand in their WNBA matchups, leading 3-1. Since the Olympic break, Clark and the Fever have been on a hot streak, winning 7 of their last 9 games. In contrast, Reese and the Sky struggled, losing seven consecutive games before their recent victory against the Los Angeles Sparks.

While Clark has already helped secure a playoff spot for the Fever, Reese and the Sky have fallen behind in the race for the eighth and final playoff position. Chicago now faces a must-win situation for the rest of the season.
