Sad news: Houston Texans owner orders immediate contract termination of key star

In a surprising move, the Houston Texans have waived veteran wide receiver Diontae Johnson ahead of their AFC Divisional Round matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnson, 28, joined the Texans in late December 2024 after stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers, and Baltimore Ravens during the season. In his brief time with Houston, he recorded three receptions for 24 yards across two games.

This decision comes as the Texans aim to streamline their roster for the upcoming playoff game. Johnson’s departure marks the end of a tumultuous season for the receiver, who will likely seek more stability with another team in the near future.
