TCU’s Hailey Van Lith Makes Shocking Revelation After Win vs. Louisville Cardinals
The TCU Horned Frogs’ women’s basketball team is scheduled to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Sweet 16 coming this coming Saturday, giving fans and players a chance to reflect on what they’ve seen so far. The second-seeded Horned Frogs have been led by star guard Hailey Van Lith from Wenatchee, Washington, who leads the team in scoring, assists and steals this season.
On Sunday, TCU defeated Louisville, setting the scene for Van Lith to reveal her “testimony” regarding a personal journey from mental health struggles and suicidal thoughts to where she is today in life and her plans to make the most of it.

“When I say that I got exposed to media, social media at such a young age, I really struggled with mental health things,” Van Lith said.
“When I was younger and in college I was suicidal, I was heavily medicated and I felt trapped, and you would never know because I was having a ton of success on the court,” Van Lith continued. “But internally and in life in general, I was ready to be done. And so, that’s what I mean when I speak on suffering and pain…I didn’t want to live. So, to come from that to this is incredible. I’ve been praying all year…God I know you’ve given me this testimony to share with the world.”
Van Lith says she’s “loving life” now and would still want to continue moving forward even if she didn’t have basketball, saying that the circumstances she’s been delivered from were “literally the worst suffering ever.”
