INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the third consecutive week, the league announced today. Clark previously earned the honor for the periods of August 15-25 and August 26-September 1. Additionally, she was awarded both WNBA Rookie of the Month and Eastern Conference Player of the Month for August.
The Fever began a six-game homestand last Wednesday, with Clark averaging 25.0 points, 10.0 assists, and 7.7 rebounds per game, helping Indiana achieve a 2-1 record for the week. She made 13 three-pointers across the three games, setting a franchise record for most three-pointers in a single season with 111.
In Indiana’s win against the Los Angeles Sparks last Wednesday, Clark posted 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, making her the sixth player in WNBA history to record multiple triple-doubles. On Sunday, she contributed 26 points and 12 assists in a win over the Atlanta Dream, marking her 14th double-double of the season, a new franchise record for the most double-doubles in a single season.
With four games left in the regular season, Clark is just 53 points away from breaking Seimone Augustus’s rookie single-season scoring record of 744 points. She also became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 300 assists, achieving the milestone in just 35 games. Clark leads the league in assists (8.5 apg) and ranks first among rookies in scoring (19.2 ppg), steals (1.3 spg), and minutes (35.8 mpg).
The Fever will face the Las Vegas Aces in back-to-back games on Wednesday and Friday, followed by their final home game of the regular season against the Dallas Wings on Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
