SAD NEWS: Another key man down the injury list after last game

DENVER — Rookie wide receiver Troy Franklin is set to play for the first time in his career.

After being inactive in last week’s game against the Seahawks, Franklin is ready to make his Broncos debut against the Steelers.

He joins the Broncos’ receiving options, with fellow rookie Devaughn Vele sidelined due to a rib injury. Vele had led the team in receptions during Week 1.

Wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey and running back Tyler Badie, who were elevated for this game, are also active.

Six of the seven inactive Broncos players remain the same as in Week 1: quarterback Zach Wilson, running back Blake Watson, cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine, tackle Frank Crum, tight end Lucas Krull, and defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike.

Wilson will be the emergency quarterback, meaning he can dress and play only if both of the active quarterbacks get injured.
