During the Dodgers-Athletics game, which marked the Dodgers’ final visit to Oakland Coliseum, Davis took the opportunity to harshly criticize A’s owner John Fisher and the ownership group for their “shameless” approach to the relocation.

On the Dodgers’ broadcast, Davis remarked, “Relocations are a part of sports business, and you get that. But the way this one has unfolded is disgraceful! It should be. The people behind it seem completely unashamed, showing no embarrassment whatsoever. It feels deliberate, even insidious.”

Davis also took aim at the A’s ownership group for “slashing payroll” and “raising ticket prices” as a strategy to speed up the relocation process.

His criticism began while the Dodgers were ahead by one run in the top of the 9th inning. The Athletics couldn’t mount a comeback, ending their final home game of the season with a 3-2 loss to the Dodgers.
